Magické runy mají různé efekty, které se dozvíte po identifikování (<code>item id</code>). Padají ze všech monster, vzácnější runy až od určitého levelu monstra. Lze je vkládat do socketovatelných věcí (gemcutting tools). Správným složením těchto run lze získat runeword - předmět tak získá vlastnosti navíc. Pokud má runeword fungovat, nesmí zbýt volný socket.
