Nepřátelé v Shadow Realmu jsou chráněni temnou magií, která snižuje damage hráčů (lze vidět Shadow resistance efekt přímo na monstru). Některé monstra jsou chráněny méně, ale jiné více (pravděpodobně dle levelu a typu monstra). Při zabití je šance, že z monstra vypadne kousek jeho aury, která se nazývá Shadow infusion (platí pouze pro monstra 30+ lvl, které jsou touto aurou chráněni).
