You can tell them 10 times not to go there and they still go there. Well, to get to the point, he lost my book when he ran away and I don't know what happened to it. Apparently, he liked what was in the cemetery, but it's unlikely that he would have carried it with him. Try to sneak into the sarcophagus where he lives, or distract him and see if it's in one of the boxes there.
