Grinding is the skill used to grind Botany flowers into dust at a grindstone. The dust is then thrown into a campfire to grant temporary buffs.

Rebirth: On rebirth, this skill is kept.

How to grind

Use a grindstone, pick a recipe from the menu, and have the required flowers in your backpack. You cannot grind while riding, and you must be close enough to the grindstone.

Each recipe has a difficulty. You can attempt a recipe if your Grinding skill is at least difficulty − 20. On failure, the materials are ruined („You've ruined it!“).

Using dust

Use the dust and target a campfire. The powder is scattered into the fire and affects nearby players (up to 10). If you are in a party, only party members (and you) receive the buff.

There are four buff families: Might (STR), Swiftness (DEX), Insight (INT), and Spirit (WIS). A new powder from the same family replaces the previous buff of that family. Duration depends on the recipient’s Camping skill.

Stronger powders require a minimum character level; otherwise the buff is not applied.
