Tinkering is a crafting skill for making small metal (also wooden and glass) items: tools, lockpicks, keys, jewelry, wire, throwing weapons, traps, parts, and more. The main class with high Tinkering is Craftsman.
Rebirth: On rebirth, this skill is kept.
How to craft
Use Tinker's tools (double-click) and target the material:
- metal - ingots (most recipes),
- wood - logs (wooden tools / parts),
- glass - glass (bottles, pitcher, crystal ball).
Recipes are grouped in the gump (Tools, Parts, Jewelry, ...). Some recipes must be learned first (learn price in gp); Tinker's tools and gemcutter's tools are always known.
Success depends on Tinkering versus the recipe difficulty. Material cost is listed in the tables below (number of ingots / logs / glass).

Ringmail and chainmail
