The Forgotten Realms Book stores opened Forgotten Realms scrolls and lets you start a realm from the book. In game it is named forgotten realms book. It is a newbie item; mages, druids, and scribes sell it for 10,000 gp.

Basics

• Weight 1.
• Scrolls are not kept as container items — inserting converts them into a per-realm count.
• Insert, withdraw, and start work only while the book is not locked down.

Adding scrolls

Only opened Forgotten Realm scrolls are accepted (a revealed realm, not a sealed / ungenerated scroll).

• On insert the scroll is consumed and the count for that realm increases.
• Stacks add their full amount.
• Other items are rejected.

Book gump

Double-click opens a book listing all Forgotten Realms (sorted by recommended level, then name). Each entry shows:

• name and recommended level,
• Solo or Party mode,
• stored scroll count.

Start

Using a realm that has scrolls runs the same flow as using an opened scroll:

1. Stand near a Forgotten Entrance (same stones as on Forgotten Realms).
2. Confirm teleport — gear is lost on death.
3. A successful start consumes 1 scroll of that realm from the book.

Withdraw

If the count is greater than 0, enter an amount to pull opened scrolls into your backpack (partial if the pack is full).

Notes

• Open a sealed scroll first (double-click to reveal the realm), then add it to the book.
